In the spirit of Vanderpump Rules season 11 returning this week, here’s a list of folks from the show you’ve likely forgotten about over the years that may stir up a rewatch.  At the very least I’m hoping readers’ reactions are “oh yeah” or a mild giggle.

KELSEY “THE REIKI MASTER” | SEASON 6

Viewers will remember Kelsey Patel as the Reiki Master who worked with Jax (he told Kelsey to refer to him as Jason - his actual name) in season six.  Fans thought the two grew too close for comfort, considering Jax said “I love you” over the phone and tidied up his apartment in anticipation of Kelsey’s arrival. [Something we’ve never seen him do].

"Every time I see her I just have the best day of my life,” Jax said about Kelsey in one of his VPR interviews.  His fiancee, Brittany, was admittedly irked by the situation and said Kelsey had “googly eyes” for Jax on a WWHL appearance.

DAYNA KATHAN | SEASON 8

Dayna Kathan was introduced to our screens as an official VPR cast member in season eight.  She was very well-spoken, direct with confrontation, and had a dry comic wit about her that made viewers chuckle.  Dayna’s reaction to Raquel ordering a “cheeseburger with the cheese” at a restaurant lives rent-free in my head (link here if you need a giggle today).

Dayna is still [very much so] in orbit amongst the VPR cast day-to-day despite not being on the show. She teamed up with bestie, Katie Maloney, to create the “Disrespectfully” podcast through Envy Media (Nick Viall’s media company). The podcast is about being unapologetically yourself and personal storytelling – a relaxed low-stakes podcast you can listen to while getting ready for the day.

MIKE SHAY | DJ + SCHEANA’S FIRST HUSBAND

Viewers know Mike Shay as Scheana’s high school sweetheart turned first husband and mellow DJ-personality in the first five seasons of VPR. He was a likable character who balanced out Scheana’s over-the-top personality.

Remember when they ate on TV trays in their apartment and Scheana fawned over the idea of having a dining room table?

The downfall of Scheana and Mike’s relationship played out on TV in a very real way as he struggled with substance abuse.

My first episode of Vanderpump Rules was the intervention episode with Shay.

Nine times out of ten, an episode of VPR is going to consist of petty fights, unnecessary screaming, and infidelity - but this was a dark and real one to get started on. These are the types of episodes that we forget about.  It’s the rare, ten percent of episodes like this that secretly bury themselves into our subconscious and the reason we continue to be invested in this cast.

He’s kept a relatively low profile since the show but has continued to pursue his passion for music production.

DAUG | SEASON 8

I forgot this was even a storyline that was equal parts incredibly stupid (in a goofy way) and equally made me laugh.  I also wanted to point out that in the S11 premiere aftershow, Tom Schwartz mentions the homeowner of his old house was freaked out by Daug being buried in the backyard. Little does that person know they have a piece of VPR gold.

Hopefully, this took you down a solid trip of memory lane and inspired you to rewatch past seasons to relive the magic.
